Susanne Lothar has been the patroness of the association "Rote Nasen Deutschland e.V." for a year now.
This association Rote Nasen Deutschland e.V. endeavours to brighten the hospital stays of the sick and suffering, alleviate their fear of operations, examinations and medical equipment, and ease their loneliness. With their light-hearted manner and improvisational talent, the clowns specially trained for this work bring laughter and joy into the hospitals. They inspire patients to be creative and imaginative, give them strength and boost their will to live, stimulate their sense of humour and offer them hope, and help to stimulate the vital physical processes that support the process of recovery.
Susanne Lothar accompanies the clown Paul Kustermann whenever he is invited to appear at children’s hospitals and old-people’s homes as guest clown. She is deeply moved by his work and wants to draw the public’s attention to the help and commitment provided by this remarkable organisation. "Findelbaby" looks after mothers and their newborn babies when they run into difficulties. Lacking the security of a stable social environment, these mothers have not had harmonious pregnancies. They are constantly plagued by the fear that they are unable to fulfil their duties as mothers. They do not believe they will ever be able to raise their children.
"Findelbaby" supports the women throughout birth and ensures that they not only receive medical care, but are also offered guidance by educators. The very close personal relationships between everyone involved are the key to Findlybaby’s decisive success, because many of the mothers are now living happily together with their children and can count on Findelbaby’s continued support.
